PDF-417, or Portable Data File 417, is a two-dimensional stacked barcode symbology capable of encoding over a kilobyte of data per label. It was developed by Symbol Technologies (1989-1992) and is currently maintained by ANSI / AIM USA. Large amounts of text and data can be stored securely and inexpensively when using the PDF417 symbology.

Install PDF-417 barcode font is a simple task.

• Install PDF-417 Fonts TrueType (.ttf) on Windows 95, 98, 2000 and XP
  • Open Windows Control Panel
  • Click "Fonts"
  • Click "File" menu, and select "Install New Font.."
  • Navigate to the PDF-417 fonts location, select TrueType PDF-417 font (in .ttf file format), and click "OK" button
  • Restart your computer
• Install PDF-417 Fonts TrueType (.ttf) on Windows Vista and Windows 7
  • Right click TrueType PDF-417 font (in TTF file format), and install
  • Restart your computer
• Install PDF-417 Fonts PostScript Font Binary (.pfm) on Windows XP, Vista, and Windows 7
  • Open Windows Control Panel
  • Click "Fonts"
  • Click "File" menu, and select "Install New Font.."
  • Navigate to the PDF-417 fonts location, select Type 1 PDF-417 font (in .pfm file format), and click "OK" button
  • Restart your computer
